Mechel JSC (NYSE: MTL), the leading Russian mining and metals company, launches B2B-Mechel, an electronic trading system

The system’s launch is a part of a joint project developed by Mechel JSC and B2B-Center to automate the process of competitive procurement of goods, works and services by Mechel’s subsidiaries.

The system is based on the best Russian and foreign developments reflecting the latest trends in electronic trading on the Internet on "business-to-business" (b2b) principles.

B2B-Mechel system enables its clients to use any form of procurement from requests for proposals to auctions and multi-stage tenders. Mechanisms of electronic commerce allow users to significantly increase the transparency of the process.
